Cloud Security Specialist

The Cloud Security Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing security controls across Microsoft Azure environments. The role focuses on protecting cloud workloads, identities, endpoints, applications, and data through Azure-native security solutions.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft security platforms, cloud security operations, threat detection, and security posture management.

• Implement and manage Azure security controls and best practices.
• Configure and administer Microsoft Defender security solutions including Defender for Cloud, Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Servers.
• Manage Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR capabilities including analytics rules, workbooks, incident investigation, and threat detection workflows.
• Implement endpoint and device security using Microsoft Intune.
• Configure data protection and governance controls using Microsoft Purview.
• Perform cloud security posture assessments and remediation activities.
• Support threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring activities.
• Integrate Azure security solutions with SOC operations.
• Support vulnerability management, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Maintain security documentation and operational procedures.

6+ years of cloud security experience. Certification Required: CCSP or Azure Security Certification.

• CCSP, AZ-500, or equivalent Azure security certification.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Purview.
• Strong understanding of Azure security architecture, shared responsibility model, Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access.
• Experience with cloud threat detection and incident response.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.

• Experience securing hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, Web Application Firewall.
• Experience with Logic Apps, Azure Functions, PowerShell automation.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and SOC 2 frameworks.
• Experience integrating SIEM/SOAR platforms.
