About the Role
The Network Security Specialist will be responsible for the daily operation, administration, and support of enterprise network security technologies. The role focuses on firewall management, VPN support, security policy implementation, troubleshooting, and operational maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain enterprise firewall platforms.
- Manage firewall policies, rules, NAT configurations, and access controls.
- Support SSL VPN and IPSec VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Monitor network security events and support incident response activities.
- Perform firewall rule reviews and security configuration updates.
- Assist with firewall upgrades, migrations, and technology improvements.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and security-related issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Support security audits and compliance activities.
Requirements
5-6 years of experience in network security. Certification Required: Vendor-specific certification (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco).
- Hands-on experience with one or more of: Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, Cisco ASA.
- Strong understanding of firewall concepts, network security policies, NAT, routing, SSL VPN, IPSec VPN.
- Experience supporting firewall operations and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Panorama, IDS/IPS technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as Fortinet certifications, PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNA/CCNP.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud firewall concepts.
- Knowledge of ITSM processes and change management.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
