About the Role
The Network Security Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise network security solutions across hybrid environments. The role requires strong technical expertise in firewall architecture, VPN technologies, network segmentation, and security operations.
The candidate will provide technical leadership for network security platforms, define security standards, and ensure network infrastructure aligns with enterprise security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead network security architecture, design, and implementation activities.
- Manage enterprise firewall platforms including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Cisco ASA.
- Design and maintain secure VPN solutions including SSL VPN and IPSec VPN.
- Define firewall security standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, optimisation, and security policy improvements.
- Implement network segmentation strategies to reduce security risks.
- Support security incident investigations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Manage firewall upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex security issues.
- Provide technical guidance to security and infrastructure teams.
- Ensure network security controls align with compliance and governance requirements.
Requirements
10-12 years of experience in network security. Certification Required: CISSP and vendor-specific certification (Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco).
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall solutions: Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Fortinet EMS, Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS, Panorama, Cisco ASA.
- Strong understanding of firewall policy management, NAT, routing, network segmentation, SSL VPN, IPSec VPN.
- Experience with high availability (HA), clustering, and disaster recovery setups.
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS, URL filtering, malware protection, and network security monitoring.
- Experience handling security incidents and technical escalations.
- Relevant certifications such as Fortinet certifications, PCNSA/PCNSE, CCIE Security.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud network security solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Automation experience using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
